The world's oldest trees

Bristlecone Pine 4,200 years

Spruce or pine (pinus) is a tree of family Pinaceae we can find anywhere and anytime as long as the area's sandy soil is chalky, lots of water or have high enough levels of acidity. We can find this tree from Siberia, Scotland, Norway, the Canary Islands, the Philippines, the Himalayas sampe to corners of New Zealand, Brazil and Chile.





This tree is indeed famous because in addition to live everywhere but also has a very high selling power in lumber industry. All the spruce can be utilized from the twig, SAP wood, leaves, seeds to have economic value uses many of these trees really commercial

Spruce is one of the tree is long-lived because could reach the age of about 100 to 1000 years and even recorded to be the oldest tree in the world through the pine of the species in the Great Basin Bristlecone Pine (Pinus longaeva) that in 2008 it was 4840 years!!! The tree height is between 3-80 meters but the average height is 15-45 meters. The highest trees of the species of Sugar Pine while the shortest is the firs Potosi Pinyon and Siberian Dwarf Pine

Spruce Ione Norway 9550 years
